Bishops Castle
Foxholes Castle Camping is situated in the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A ten minute walk down the Shropshire way which runs through the campsite will lead you to the market town of Bishop’s Castle.
It is a friendly and fascinating town offering an interesting variety of shops, a leisure centre with swimming pool, historic buildings, museums and a selection good places to eat. The town has six public houses in total, two of which are real ale home-brew pubs, The Three Tuns and the Six Bells.
Bishop’s Castle hosts frequent festivals and music gigs. Such as the carnival on the 1st sunday of July, Bishop's Castle Real Ale Festival on the 2nd weekend of July, and the Michaelmas Fair on 3rd weekend September. During these celebrations the town is alive with street art, performances, live music, vintage vehicles and machinery and stalls of local craft and produce. Live music is performed weekly at local pubs.
